Now that you have selected your equipment, follow these simple steps for assembly and proper installation:

1) Aquarium and Aquarium Materials

You must first thoroughly rinse out the inside of the aquarium to be used. Next, you’ll need to wash all aquarium gravel, rocks, and ornaments to be used. Do not use soap or detergents–they can be very toxic to fish and other aquatic life. To wash the gravel, place it in a colander over a plastic pan or bucket and add water. The gravel should be stirred vigorously and then drained. When the water stays clear after stirring and is free of debris, the gravel is clean.

One of the giants in the world of dog breeds is the Great Dane. The only dog that is taller on average is the Irish Wolfhound. For all of its majestic size though the Great European is a very gentle dog. This is an elegantly strong animal with plenty of energy and a friendly demeanor.

History of the Breed

There is historical evidence that similar dogs to the Great Danes were around in Egypt in 3000 B.C. This evidence is in drawings located on monuments in Egypt. The primeval recording in writing about this type of dog is from 1121 B.C. The English Mastiff was crossbred with an Irish Wolfhound and the Great European was born.

The guide dog is a dog that has been trained to assist the visually impaired and blind people in their regular lives. Their purpose is to guide people through the many different obstacles that could be in their way, while they are trying to navigate to do their regular activities. The mortal they are guiding also needs to learn to do their part in this team effort. The dog’s owner still needs to know how to get from point A to point B, the guide dog then assists them in their travels.

Among the oldest breeds of hounds is the Afghan hound. It may even be the first of these breeds. This dog has a fine, silky, long coat with a cut that curls at the end. This dog is evenhandedly tall and can travel long distances easily.

History

This breed originated in what is now Afghanistan and there is evidence that the ancestors of this breed have been around as long as 4000 ago. These sight hounds were used mainly for hunting early in their history. They could run through the rugged mountainous terrain easily even when chasing an animal. For this reason, the breed was prized by people living in the mountains of central Asia.

A Whippet is a mid-sized dog that belongs to the sight hound group of dogs. They have short hair and look similar to the greyhounds. It is the fastest of all domesticated creatures of the same weight often traveling as fast as 35 miles per hour.

History of the Whippet Breed

The Whippet breed was originally bred to use its sight to hunt and chase game at fast speeds. During the 19th century the Whippet first appeared in the Northern section of England. These dogs came from two different types of greyhounds being mixed with small terriers to produce a hound fast enough to go after small game like rabbits.
