Sleep anxiety and chronic insomnia often go hand in hand. In fact, they feed off of apiece other in the most frustrating and annoying way. Both of these problems, though, can be dealt with once you know what you are working with — and are willing to patiently try several different techniques.
So what is the definition of sleep anxiety? It is a paradoxical situation where your desire to sleep is making you so anxious that it is causing you to sleep even less. But this cycle of misery does not have to continue.
