According to the one of largest real estate surveys that was conducted, technology has transformed how people buy and sell their houses, including the way people work and transact with brokers and real estate agents. The result of the said survey was released last Jan 16 by the NAR or National Association of Realtors.

The study showed that from 10 house buyers, nine of them worked with an agent in searching a house to buy. But after the surge of Internet Technology, this ratio has increased dramatically from 2% of buyers during 1995 to 77% in 2005. That was a huge rise in just ten years time.

President Bush may be actuation for advocates for home ownership, but a joint study released by both the Center for Economic and Policy Research and the National Low Income Housing Coalition are saying that more emphasis should be on rental and inexpensive properties.

Due to the surging rates of foreclosures, people will choose the apartment options this year. There’s a figure stating that 1 million people rented apartments last year compared to 139,000 more people looking into buying a house.
